Two foreign domestic workers (FDWs) who made money by obtaining loans for other workers have been fined and barred from working in Singapore. The Manpower Ministry said FDWs who hold a second job are deemed to be working without a valid work pass. Between June 2017 and November 2018, Jenalyn Masirag Gannaban and Obillo Arlene Manale earned money illegally by securing loans for other FDWs. Their illicit activities earned them between $100 and $400 a month.
