Rocky Marciano vs Archie Moore - Rocky Marciano defends the Heavyweight Championship of the World against Archie Moore. Archie had thrown challenges to both Ezzard Charles and Jersey Joe Walcott without getting a shot at the title. This time he would not let the champion get away and therefore claimed Marciano was evading him before he had ever made a challenge to him. This would be the last fight in Rocky's career. He would retire undefeated the following year, being the only champion ever to have won all of his fights.
